Akoko Northwest Chairman, Owolabi Embarks on Road Verges Clearing and Drainage Desilting Project
The administration of Hon. Model Esan Owolabi, Executive Chairman of Akoko Northwest Local Government, Ondo State, is working tirelessly to improve the community’s infrastructure. Recently, the council initiated a project to clear road verges and desilt drainages across the local government area.
During an inspection of the ongoing work, Chairman Owolabi urged residents to refrain from dumping refuse into drainages, especially during rainfall, highlighting the detrimental consequences of such actions. He explained that blockages in the drainage system are often caused by indiscriminate waste disposal.
Chairman Owolabi reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining a clean environment throughout the local government area, promoting a healthier living space for all constituents.
