Hon. Sola Olofin, Board Chairman NSITF, Applauds Nigeria’s Role at AU Peace and Security Council Meeting, Commends Gains for National and Regional Stability

The Chairman of the Board of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Hon. Sola Olofin, has lauded Nigeria’s active participation and leadership at the recent African Union (AU) Peace and Security Council meeting, describing the outcome as a major milestone for both national and regional stability.

Hon. Olofin commended the Federal Government’s diplomatic engagements and strategic contributions at the high-level meeting, noting that Nigeria’s consistent advocacy for peace, security, and development across the continent continues to reaffirm its role as a frontline nation in Africa.

He explained that Nigeria’s voice at the AU platform not only strengthens regional cooperation but also reflects the country’s long-standing commitment to conflict resolution, economic integration, and the promotion of democratic governance.

The NSITF Board Chairman further noted that the gains recorded at the meeting would enhance Nigeria’s national security framework, deepen cross-border collaboration, and open new avenues for economic and social cooperation across West Africa and beyond.

He emphasized that peace and security remain the foundation for sustainable growth, adding that Nigeria’s leadership role at the AU has always inspired confidence among partner nations and reinforced the country’s image as a unifying force on the continent.

Hon. Olofin urged Nigerians to continue to support the government’s efforts in driving policies that strengthen peace and security, while also calling on AU member states to remain committed to the collective vision of a stable, integrated, and prosperous Africa.
