
ECWA Primary Health Clinic Ikaram Commissioned, Amidst Praise for Chairman Owolabi’s Renewed Hope Agenda


The Executive Chairman of Akoko Northwest Local Government Area, Hon. Model Esan Owolabi, joined other dignitaries to commission the ECWA Primary Health Clinic Ikaram, a landmark project facilitated by the Honorable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO).
The commissioning event, held at Ikaram Akoko, Ondo State, on Friday, September 27, 2025, was attended by prominent individuals, including the General Secretary of ECWA nationwide, Rev Dr Ayuba Asheshe, and the Chairman, ECWA Akure District Church Council (DCC), Rev Joshua Rotimi Orikogbe.
Rev Dr Ayuba Asheshe emphasized that the clinic is open to all, regardless of religion, and urged the community to patronize, maintain, and protect the facility. He praised Chairman Owolabi for his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of his constituents.
Rev Joshua Rotimi Orikogbe thanked Chairman Owolabi for his accessibility and simplicity, describing him as a humble leader. He assured that the health facility would serve everyone with integrity, compassion, and professionalism.
The Akala of Ikaram Akoko, His Royal Majesty, Oba A.O Momodu, appreciated the support of BTO, the local government, ECWA team, and the community. He sought everyone’s cooperation and patronage of the health center.
Honorable Fatai Atere, representing Akoko Northwest Constituency One in the Ondo State House of Assembly, expressed his gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa, Chairman Owolabi, Hon. BTO, and everyone who attended the commissioning.
Chairman Owolabi appreciated God for the legacy project and thanked Hon. BTO for facilitating the health facility. He pledged his administration’s support for NGOs like ECWA and encouraged Ikaram residents to protect the facility against vandalism.
Chairman Owolabi congratulated the people of Ikaram on the giant project and assured them of more developmental projects during his tenure.
Emphasizing the importance of a healthy society, Chairman Owolabi noted that “Health is wealth.” He advised people to take good care of their health by visiting the newly commissioned health center to consult with health professionals for proper prescription.
Chairman Owolabi assured state and local government support for donors partnering with the government to develop the council area.
