Yesterday, we had the honour of attending the wedding ceremony of one of our beloved family members from Kebbi State—an event that stood out as a remarkable celebration of love, unity, and cultural pride.

The ceremony was a memorable gathering that attracted an impressive array of distinguished personalities from across the political, administrative, and security landscape of Nigeria. The presence of these eminent leaders added prestige and significance to the occasion, reflecting the high regard in which the family is held.

Among the notable dignitaries in attendance was the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), whose presence underscored the importance of the event. Also present was the Honourable Minister of Budget and National Planning, H.E. Senator Atiku Bagudu, a statesman whose contributions to national development continue to shape Nigeria’s economic planning framework.

The event was further graced by the Honourable Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Tanko Sununu, and the Honourable Minister of Steel and Mining, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, both of whom added depth and national relevance to the gathering. Also in attendance was a former Governor of Kebbi State, H.E. Usman Saidu Dakingari, who sat beside me during the ceremony, lending his warmth and experience to the joyous moment.

Several serving Kebbi State Commissioners were present, reflecting the strong bond between governance and community life in the state. The Managing Director of N-HYPPADEC, Abubakar Sadiq, was also in attendance, alongside other respected personalities including Katuka-Yawuri, Buhari Bello, and AIG Ambusa, among many others.

Beyond the dignitaries, the wedding was beautifully organized and richly symbolic of Kebbi State’s cultural heritage. The atmosphere was filled with joy, goodwill, and a strong sense of togetherness as family members, friends, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the union of the couple.
