Yesterday, I was represented by the Vice Chairman of Akoko South East Local Government, Hon. Ojumu Tanimoowo Benjamin, at the reception organized to receive defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who have dumped the opposition party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)

The defectors said they have been encouraged to join the fold of the APC by the purposeful leadership of the Governor, Hon. (Dr.) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and the unprecedented infrastructural development being witnessed across the state under his watch.
The former PDP stalwarts who are from across the 11 wards in Akoko South East joined the APC through Hon. Olugbenga Olufehinti, the Director of Projects of the South West Development Commission (SWDC).
