ADVOCACY HEALTH OFFICERS MET WITH CHAIRMAN OWOLABI TO JOIN FORCES ON A NEW IMMUNIZATION DRIVE AGAINST MEASLES , RUBELLA,AND MALARIA IN AKOKO NORTHWEST LG

The Executive Chairman of Akoko Northwest Local Government Area, Hon. Esan Owolabi, has pledged his unwavering support for a new immunization campaign targeting Measles Rubella and Malaria among children aged 0-14 in the local government area. According to reports, a delegation of health workers led a courtesy visit to Owolabi’s office, seeking collaboration and synergy to ensure the success of the initiative.
During the visit, the health workers informed Owolabi about the proposed flagship immunization campaign designed to prevent and protect children in the area from Measles Rubella and Malaria. In response, Chairman Owolabi expressed his enthusiasm and commitment to the cause, stating, “I will give you my maximum support because I do not want to see any of my local government children die of any measles rubella and malaria.”
Owolabi appealed to parents and caregivers to cooperate with health personnel during the campaign, emphasizing the importance of bringing their children out to receive the vaccine. He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to ensuring Akoko Northwest LGA benefits from government activities and programs, asserting that his local government will not hinder the progress of such initiatives.
The chairman’s assurance of support underscores the local government’s commitment to improving healthcare outcomes for children in the area, aligning with broader efforts to eradicate preventable diseases and promote public health.
