Dr. Jide Martins Adewinle (FCA), Federal Commissioner (SWDC), Felicitates with Ondo State at 50, Commends Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Administration

Dr. Jide Martins Adewinle (FCA), Federal Commissioner representing the South West Development Commission (SWDC), has joined millions of Ondo State indigenes at home and in the diaspora to celebrate the state on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.
In a congratulatory message to the government and people of Ondo State, Dr. Adewinle described the Golden Jubilee as a historic milestone that reflects the resilience, unity, and progressive spirit of the Sunshine State since its creation in 1976.
He commended the people of Ondo State for their contributions to national development across various sectors, including education, public service, entrepreneurship, culture, and governance, noting that the state has consistently produced men and women of excellence who have made meaningful impacts within and outside Nigeria.u
Dr. Adewinle particularly lauded the administration of His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for providing purposeful leadership and sustaining the vision of development, peace, and inclusiveness in the state. According to him, the governor’s commitment to infrastructure development, workers’ welfare, economic growth, and grassroots governance is positioning Ondo State for a more prosperous future.
“Ondo at 50 is not just a celebration of years, but a celebration of progress, resilience, and hope. Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration has demonstrated dedication to good governance and people-oriented policies that reflect the aspirations of the Ondo people,” he stated.
The Federal Commissioner also urged citizens to use the Golden Jubilee celebration as a moment of reflection and renewed commitment to unity, patriotism, and collective responsibility, stressing that sustainable development can only be achieved through cooperation between the government and the governed.
Dr. Adewinle reaffirmed the readiness of the South West Development Commission to continue partnering with Ondo State in areas of regional integration, economic empowerment, infrastructure development, and human capital advancement, in line with the Renewed Hope agenda of the Federal Government.
He concluded by wishing Ondo State many more years of peace, stability, and development, while praying that the next phase of the state’s journey would usher in greater opportunities and improved quality of life for all citizens.
