IT’S THE TURN OF AKOKO SOUTH EAST

In Akoko South East/West Federal Constituency, we have consistently upheld the principle of rotational political representation, recognizing that our constituency is made up of two local government areas — Akoko South East and Akoko South West.
This time-honoured arrangement has preserved fairness, strengthened unity, and ensured political balance among our people over the years.
Since the return of democracy in 1999, our constituency has produced representatives who have served with dedication in the House of Representatives.

Following the tenure of Hon. Kolawole Babatunde from Akoko South East, the seat was rightfully rotated to Akoko South West. Since then, the constituency has been represented consecutively by Akoko South West — Hon. Adejoro Adeogun and presently Hon. Adegboyega Adefarati.
At this important stage in our democratic journey, and in the spirit of fairness, justice, mutual respect, and love for one another, we firmly believe that it is now the rightful turn of Akoko South East to produce the next representative.
This conviction is rooted in the long-standing rotational understanding that has promoted peace, inclusion, cooperation, and collective progress within the constituency.
Respecting this arrangement is not merely a political demand; it is a moral obligation that sustains trust, equity, and unity among our people.
If we truly believe in justice, fairness, and rotational leadership; values that have held our constituency together since 1999; then allowing Akoko South East to take its turn remains the surest path to lasting harmony, balanced development, and continued progress for Akoko South East/West Federal Constituency.
As we look forward to this next phase, it is important to state clearly that when the opportunity rightfully returns to Akoko South East, Otunba Gbenga Elewuetu stands out as the next credible and capable leader to take up this responsibility.
His dedication to the people, grassroots connection, and commitment to the development of the constituency make him a worthy choice.
We therefore call on all party members and stakeholders across the constituency to rally their support to ensure that the ticket is clinched by Elewuetu. Such loyalty, unity, and commitment towards this collective goal will never go unrewarded.
Together, let us uphold fairness, strengthen unity, and move our constituency forward.
