Rivers Assembly rejects four commissioner nominees
The Rivers State House of Assembly on Monday rejected and disqualified four out of nine commissioner nominees forwarded by Governor Siminalayi Fubara for screening and confirmation as members of the State Executive Council.
The four nominees, who failed to secure confirmation due to some discrepancies surrounding the authenticity, completeness, or compliance of their submitted documents include:Professor Datonye Alasia, Charity Deemua, Tamuno Williams and Otonye TKD Amachree.
Those who were confirmed and cleared to join the State Executive Council pending formal swearing-in by the Governor include Tonye Bellgam, Professor Temple Nwofor, Dr. Peters Nwagor, Lekue Kenneth and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.
