MHR 2027 Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency : Claim That Ifedore Elders Directed Aspirants To Step Down Is False, Misleading And Baseless

The attention of concerned stakeholders and the good people of Ifedore Local Government Area has been drawn to a misleading report claiming that elders from the local government have directed aspirants to step down from the House of Representatives race and instead focus on the senatorial seat.
This claim is completely false, baseless, and does not reflect the position of the true elders and leaders of Ifedore.

At no time was such a meeting held, and no respected elders from Ifedore issued any directive asking aspirants to withdraw from the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency race. The publication appears to be nothing more than a politically motivated attempt to mislead the public and create unnecessary division within the constituency.
Politics in the constituency has always been driven by the will of the people, not by fabricated statements attributed to unnamed elders. Aspirants from Ifedore, just like every other part of the constituency, have the constitutional right to contest for any position they believe they are qualified for, including the House of Representatives seat.

It is also important to note that dragging respected personalities into such false narratives only weakens political unity and creates tension where none exists.
