Israel Will Fight Using Last American Soldier, US Taxpayer Dollar’ – Iranian President Slams Trump Government

Iran’s President, Masoud Pezeshkian, has defended his country’s historical and political stance while sharply questioning United States policies in a lengthy open letter addressed to the American people.
Pezeshkian alleged that there has been flood of distortions and manufactured narratives being spread due to the ongoing war in the Middle East, he addressed “the people of the United States of America, and all those who, amid a flood of distortions and manufactured narratives, continue to seek the truth and aspire to a better life.”
The Iranian leader described Iran as “one of the oldest continuous civilizations in human history,” insisting that despite its advantages over time, the country “has never, in its modern history, chosen the path of aggression, expansion, colonialism, or domination.”
He added that Iran “has never initiated a war… Yet it has resolutely and bravely repelled those who have attacked it.”
Pezeshkian emphasized that Iranians hold no hostility toward other nations, stating, “The Iranian people harbor no enmity toward other nations, including the people of America, Europe, or neighboring countries.”
He noted that citizens traditionally distinguish between governments and their populations, calling it “a deeply rooted principle in Iranian culture and collective consciousness.”
He argued that portraying Iran as a global threat is misleading, saying, “Such a perception is the product of political and economic whims of the powerful—the need to manufacture an enemy… In such an environment, if a threat does not exist, it is invented.”
The president also criticized the scale of U.S. military presence around Iran, noting that “the United States has concentrated the largest number of its forces, bases, and military capabilities around Iran,” while maintaining that Iran’s actions remain defensive.
According to him, “What Iran has done and continues to do is a measured response grounded in legitimate self-defense, and by no means an initiation of war or aggression.”
On historical relations, Pezeshkian said ties between the two nations were not always hostile, but deteriorated following foreign intervention.
He referenced the “illegal American 1953” coup, describing it as a turning point that “disrupted Iran’s democratic process, reinstated dictatorship, and sowed deep distrust.”
He added that this distrust was worsened by U.S. support for the Shah, backing of Iraq during the 1980s war, and longstanding sanctions.
Despite these pressures, the Iranian president claimed the country has made significant progress, stating, “all these pressures have failed to weaken Iran. On the contrary, the country has grown… stronger in many areas.”
He cited improvements in literacy, higher education, healthcare, technology, and infrastructure as “measurable, observable realities that stand independent of fabricated narratives.”
However, he acknowledged the toll of sanctions and conflict, warning that “the destructive and inhumane impact of sanctions, war, and aggression… must not be underestimated.” He added that continued military actions and bombings “profoundly affect people’s lives, attitudes, and perspectives.”
Raising direct questions to Americans, Pezeshkian asked, “Exactly which of the American people’s interests are truly being served by this war?” He also questioned whether there was “any objective threat from Iran to justify such behavior,” and whether actions such as “the massacre of innocent children” or “boasting about bombing a country ‘back to the stone ages’” serve any purpose.
The president further accused Washington of undermining diplomacy, stating, “Iran pursued negotiations, reached an agreement, and fulfilled all its commitments.” He argued that the U.S. decision to withdraw and escalate tensions represented “destructive choices made by the U.S. government.”
Pezeshkian warned that attacks on infrastructure “directly targets the Iranian people” and “generate instability, increase human and economic costs, and perpetuate cycles of tension.” He described such actions as “not a demonstration of strength; it is a sign of strategic bewilderment.”
He also suggested U.S. actions under President Donald Trump may be influenced by Israel, asking, “Is it not also the case that America has entered this aggression as a proxy for Israel?” and whether Israel seeks to “fight Iran to the last American soldier and the last American taxpayer dollar.”
Questioning U.S. priorities, he asked, “Is ‘America First’ truly among the priorities of the U.S. government today?”
In conclusion, Pezeshkian urged Americans to look beyond what he described as misinformation, encouraging them to “speak with those who have visited Iran” and consider the achievements of Iranian professionals abroad.
He warned that the world stands at a decisive moment, stating; “the choice between confrontation and engagement is both real and consequential; its outcome will shape the future for generations to come.”
He ended by asserting Iran’s resilience, saying the country has “outlasted many aggressors” and remains “resilient, dignified, and proud.”
His comments come amid the ongoing war in the Middle East which was started after United States and Israel launched preemptive strike on Iran, citing alleged plan to build nuclear weapon.
The conflict has led to deaths, destructions despite calls for diplomacy by different countries across the world.
