Governor makes cabinet Reshuffle
The Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved the appointment of the immediate past Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Abdullahi Bello, as a commissioner-designate.
This was disclosed in an official statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Folashade Arike Ayoade, indicating that the decision followed the resignation of the Commissioner for Works, Mohammed Yusuf. The governor commended the outgoing official for his contributions to the state and wished him success in his future pursuits.
According to the statement, the appointment forms part of a broader effort by the administration to strengthen governance through a minor cabinet reshuffle. As part of the changes, Salami Ozigi Deedat has been redeployed from the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to the Ministry of Works.
The statement further noted that Abdullahi Bello, popularly known as Dollar, will be presented before the Kogi State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation, in line with constitutional requirements.
It added that the redeployment takes immediate effect, underscoring the administration’s resolve to enhance efficiency and service delivery across key sectors of governance.
