A veteran Yoruba Nollywood actor, Murphy Ray, has recounted a notable act of generosity by Nigeria’s president, Bola Tinubu, towards the late comedian and entertainer, Gbenga Adeboye.

Speaking during an appearance on the Talk to B podcast, Murphy Ray revealed that Tinubu played a crucial role in the aftermath of Adeboye’s death by taking full responsibility for organizing his burial. According to the actor, the intervention significantly eased the burden on the deceased’s family during a difficult period.

He further disclosed that Adeboye had been constructing a house before his passing, but the project was left unfinished. Murphy Ray stated that Tinubu stepped in to ensure the building was completed, ultimately providing a comfortable home for the late entertainer’s family.

The actor described the gesture as a testament to Tinubu’s longstanding support for individuals within the entertainment industry. He added that such acts of kindness were not isolated, noting that many entertainers have benefitted from similar interventions over the years.

Murphy Ray emphasized that Tinubu’s support not only preserved Adeboye’s legacy but also offered meaningful, practical assistance to his family. He expressed appreciation for the president’s contributions, highlighting the broader impact of such goodwill within the creative sector.
