
Police arrest two suspected drug dealers in Ekiti

PRESS RELEASE: Ekiti State Police Command arrests two suspected drug dealers
As part of the measures to rid the State off criminal elements and in compliance with the matching order given to the DPOs and the Heads of Tactical Units by the State Commissioner of Police, CP FALADE ADEGOROYE MICHEAL, to continuously raid all identified criminal hideouts, the Divisional Police Officer, New Iyin Division, alongside his Operatives, based on intelligence-led policing, raided an identified illicit drugs marketing center located at Alade Garage Area, Basiri, Ado Ekiti.
During the operation, two suspected illicit drug sellers, one Promise Fáṣọlá and Ileri-Oluwa Alao, were arrested while others escaped.
Some quantities of illicit drugs such as Colorado, Indian hemp, Loud, one POS machine, one Android phone, one power bank, amongst others were recovered from them.
The arrested suspects confessed to be illicit drug dealers and will be thoroughly investigated and charged to court accordingly, while effort is underway for the possible arrest of the fleeing suspects.
The CP implores members of the public to collaborate and support the Police with credible and timely information about criminal activities and hideouts to enable the Command take necessary and immediate actions.
