
CHAIRMAN OWOLABI CELEBRATES NIGERIA AT 65 WITH MEANINGFUL INITIATIVES

As Nigeria marks her 65th Independence Anniversary, the Executive Chairman of Akoko Northwest Local Government Area, Hon. Model Esan Abiodun Owolabi, has reaffirmed his commitment to education and community development by distributing essential school materials to primary school pupils across the council area.
The commemorative event began with prayers and introductions, setting a reflective and joyous tone for the day. The gesture, Chairman Owolabi emphasized, was in line with his campaign promises to invest in education and improve the lives of children within Akoko Northwest.
In his goodwill message, Mr. Arijeniwa, Head of Local Government Administration, congratulated Nigerians—especially the people of Akoko Northwest—on the occasion of the nation’s 65th Independence. He underscored the importance of primary education as the foundation of national development.
Similarly, Comrade Alade Gabriel, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Akoko Northwest, lauded Chairman Owolabi’s visionary leadership. He expressed the readiness of teachers and schools in the area to continue partnering with his administration for the benefit of pupils.
Chairman Owolabi, while addressing the pupils, assured them that his administration would continue to prioritize their welfare and education. He urged them to make good use of the learning materials provided, adding that his goal is to keep putting smiles on their faces through meaningful initiatives.
The well-attended event brought together a cross-section of stakeholders, including council lawmakers, security agencies, parents and guardians, teachers, local government officials, and other dignitaries, all united in celebrating both Nigeria’s independence and the Chairman’s impactful strides in education.
