
Ajowa Community Marks 70th Anniversary, Receives Pledge of Government Support


Ajowa, Ondo State — October 4, 2025:
The Ajowa community on Saturday celebrated its 70th anniversary, marking seven decades of unity and progress since its founding in 1955. The milestone event drew prominent dignitaries, including the Executive Chairman of Akoko Northwest Local Government Area, Hon. Model Esan Abiodun Owolabi, and the representative of the state governor, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
In his remarks, Chairman Owolabi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the Ajowa community, assuring residents of prompt intervention to address pressing developmental needs. He commended the community’s history of peaceful coexistence under the leadership of its eight traditional rulers, who have collectively promoted harmony and development.
Other speakers at the event, including the Chairman of the Ajowa Community Development Strategy, RT Ezekiel Dahunsi, and guest speaker Chief Seinde Arogbofa, urged the state government to prioritize Ajowa’s infrastructure and road construction projects.
Representing Governor Aiyedatiwa, Commissioner Ayodele Akande lauded the community’s unity and pledged that the government would give due attention to its requests.
The anniversary celebration also featured the presentation of awards to individuals who have made notable contributions to Ajowa’s growth and progress. Among the honorees were Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Chairman Esan Owolabi, Dr. Bunmi Tunji Ojo, Senator Jide Ipinsagba, Iba Gani Adams and other distinguished personalities.
The event underscored Ajowa’s steady growth, peaceful governance, and the enduring partnership between the community and the government toward sustained development.
