Many BBNaija Winners End Up Becoming Poorer After the Show – Deji Adeyanju Claims

Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju has raised doubts about whether the organizers of the Big Brother Naija reality show actually award the prize money to its winners.
The human rights activist asserted that numerous former winners of the reality show found themselves in a worse financial position following their participation.
He wrote on his X handle on Monday, “Do BBNaija winners actually receive the prize money? I’m asking because many of them seem to end up looking very broke afterwards.”
Adeyanju’s post was made just 24 hours after Imisi was declared the winner of the 10th edition of the Big Brother Naija reality show, earning a grand prize of N150 million on Sunday.
His post sparked a range of reactions, as many BBNaija fans urged him to identify former winners who became poorer after the show; however, he chose not to respond.
It has been noted that Phyna, the winner of Big Brother Naija’s seventh edition in 2022, has consistently criticized the organizers for not paying her prizes.
