AGRICULTURE REVITALIZATION

Hon. Oyewumi’s impact in agriculture is well established. At Okitipupa Oil Palm Plc, he began his service as Vice-Chairman and later rose to become Chairman. His leadership contributed significantly to the revitalization of the company and rekindled hope in the state’s agro-industrial sector.

His objective has always been to restore Ondo South’s palm oil economy to international relevance, strengthen value-chain development, empower farmers, and promote agricultural productivity that benefits rural communities.

Hon. Boye Oyewumi has been instrumental in opening new economic opportunities in Ondo State through foreign and domestic investment facilitation.

At the Ondo State Development and Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA), he served with distinction, playing a strategic role in attracting major investors and strengthening Ondo State’s economic profile.

Under his leadership and facilitation:

Air Peace, Overland Airways, and GreenAfrica were brought into Ondo State, expanding the Akure aviation corridor and connecting the state to key commercial routes.

Significant industrial activities emerged along the Lagos–Sagamu–Ore corridor, transforming Ore into one of the state’s fastest-growing industrial hubs.

He attracted multiple industries and processing plants, including:

Chocolate factories

Cashew processing factories

Agro-allied product factories

Small and medium manufacturing clusters

These efforts have collectively contributed to the creation of over 15,000 direct and indirect jobs in Ondo South, stimulating economic growth, reducing unemployment, and empowering local communities.
