Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo Recognised for Support as Aggrieved Aspirants Forum Calls for Expanded Assistance and Governor’s Engagement

The Aggrieved Aspirants Forum (AAF) has commended the Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), for his financial support to some aggrieved aspirants, describing the gesture as commendable and timely.
Speaking at the Forum’s annual press briefing, AAF Leader Taiwo Agunloye acknowledged the Minister’s donation of ₦2 million to a few members of the Forum, noting that such support stands out amid years of neglect by past and present governors, senators, and other party leaders.
Mr. Agunloye stated that many members of the AAF have continued to experience financial, political, and emotional hardship since 2014. The Forum therefore respectfully appeals to the Minister to expand the scope of his assistance to cover all eligible members.
The Forum also called on the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, to respond to the several letters submitted by the AAF and to honour commitments made to aggrieved aspirants during the election campaign.
While the South-West continues to appreciate the Christmas and New Year goodwill gestures of Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, the AAF remains focused on ensuring equitable inclusion and recognition for all its members. The Forum reaffirmed its unwavering loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) and its readiness to work with party leaders such as Hon. Tiamiyu Fatai Atere and other APC stakeholders.
The Forum appreciated the Governor for the long-awaited distribution of Christmas rice but expressed concern that members of the Aggrieved Aspirants Forum were excluded from the sharing of the Governor’s Christmas and New Year palliatives, despite their contributions to the party’s electoral success.
The AAF emphasized that its members worked tirelessly for the party and should therefore be fairly carried along in government and party engagements.
These resolutions followed a series of consultations and meetings involving aggrieved aspirants and young leaders within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Aggrieved Aspirants Forum looks forward to a positive response from Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, and other state party executives, and remains committed to unity, fairness, and progress within the party.
