NEED FOR IDENTITY CLARIFICATION: ODIMAYO DYNASTIES IN IRELE
It is expedient now to clarify the identity of Prof Simidele ODIMAYO and Hon Jimi ODIMAYO.
Though both of them hail from Ode-Irele, the headquarters of Irele local government in Ikale nation.
To put the record straight, there are three ruling houses in Ode-Irele. The Jagboju ruling house, the Orunbemekun and Oyenusi ruling house.
However, Professor Simidele Odimayo the current Special Adviser on Health to Ondo state Governor and Ondo South Senatorial Aspirant hails from the Odimayo dynasty of Gboroye quarters in Oyenusi ruling house.
Meanwhile, Hon Jimi Odimayo the current House of Representatives member representing Irele/ Okitipupa federal constituency hails from the Odimayo dynasty of Obamoyegun quarters in Jagboju ruling house. He is a son of the late HRM Oba Feyisara Odimayo.
Infact, both Prof Simidele Odimayo and Hon Jimi Odimayo only have their surnames in common not related by blood. They can give any of their daughters in marriage to one another. They are not by any way sharing same blood lineage, they only share a common family name.
From above, this clarification is necessary for the avoidance of doubt as some individuals have argued that the duo are blood brothers from the same family.
