EKIMOGUN DAY 2025: PRINCE (DR.) OYEBADE ADENIRAN, OTUNBA MAIYEGUN OF USOPO ALAGBAKA KINGDOM, CELEBRATES WITH HIS PEOPLE; DONATES MILLIONS OF NAIRA

Prince (Dr.) Oyebade Adeniran, Otunba Maiyegun of Usopo Alagbaka Kingdom, Akure, Ondo State, has joined sons and daughters of Ondo Kingdom in celebrating Ekimogun Day 2025, describing the annual cultural festival as a powerful symbol of unity, heritage, and the enduring identity of the Ondo people.

In his goodwill message, Prince (Dr.) Adeniran noted that Ekimogun Day goes beyond festivity, as it represents a moment of deep reflection on the history, values, and collective journey of the Ondo Kingdom.

He emphasized that the celebration offers an opportunity to honour the sacrifices of forebears, preserve rich cultural traditions, and pass on cherished values of integrity, courage, and communal living to younger generations.

He commended the people of Ondo land for their resilience, unity, and unwavering commitment to peace and progress despite prevailing challenges. According to him, the spirit of togetherness displayed during Ekimogun Day remains a strong foundation for sustainable development and harmonious coexistence within the kingdom

Prince (Dr.) Adeniran also praised the vital roles played by traditional institutions, community leaders, and cultural custodians in safeguarding Ondo’s heritage and promoting peaceful coexistence.

He stressed that culture remains a powerful tool for social cohesion, economic growth, and identity preservation, particularly in a rapidly changing world.

Demonstrating his unwavering support for cultural development, Prince (Dr.) Oyebade Adeniran donated millions of naira towards the success of Ekimogun Day 2025, describing the gesture as his modest contribution to sustaining the cultural pride and communal progress of Ondo Kingdom.

Calling on youths and professionals of Ondo origin, both at home and in the diaspora, he urged them to actively participate in community development initiatives, invest in local opportunities, and contribute their skills, resources, and knowledge to the advancement of Ondo land.

Prince (Dr.) Adeniran prayed for continued peace, prosperity, and unity in Ondo Kingdom, while wishing the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, members of the traditional council, and all indigenes a successful and memorable Ekimogun Day 2025 celebration.
