Why God Will Not Allow Peter Obi Become Nigeria’s President Now And Ever–Femi Fani Kayode

Controversial ex-minister for aviation and current ambassador designate, Femi Fani Kayode has described former governor of Anambra state as a man desperate to realize his presidential ambition at the expense of Nigeria’s national unity and cohesion.

Femi Fani Kayode in a now deleted tweet he made on his X account on 21st of January, 2026, insinuated that God has predestined that Peter Obi will “certainly” not become Nigeria’s president no matter how hard he tries.

Femi Fani Kayode disreputable for his garrulous and vacillatory nature , accused Peter Obi of publicizing false narratives about the country aimed undermining the administration of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In the now deleted tweet, Femi Fani Kayode criticized Peter Obi for commenting on tragic report about the kidnápping of more than 170 church worshipers by suspected Islamists in Kaduna State. Femi Fani Kayode chided Obi for publicizing such false news even when the police authority, state and local government authorities have denied such report.

He further accused Peter Obi of exploiting such negative narrative to promote his presidential ambition while undermining the country’s unity. He stated that Peter Obi will certainly not become Nigeria’s president. According to him, even when decides that an Igbo would become Nigeria’s president, it will not be Peter Obi.

“You do not have to tear Nigeria apart to achieve your ambition of becoming President: God alone gives power to whom He pleases and when he deems it fit”, he tweeted.

“I have little doubt that when that time comes, years down the line, and He deems it fit to give it to the South East it will certainly NOT be to you.”

The controversial politician has now deleted the tweet after police authority confirmed that there was actually abduction of worshipers in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State after denying the report, labelling it as false.
