A special message from Hon. Bola Ajimuda, Commissioner representing Ondo State in the Federal Character Commission, highlights the significance of this historic occasion. He praised the state’s journey over the past five decades, noting that the anniversary is not only a celebration of achievements but also a reminder of the responsibility to build a future anchored on good governance and prosperity for all.

Ondo State, one of Nigeria’s most vibrant and culturally rich regions, is celebrating its Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years since its creation in 1976. The milestone anniversary is being commemorated with tributes to the resilience, progress, and unity of its people.

The commemorative poster features the emblem of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Ondo State crest, and a stylized golden “50” symbolizing the jubilee. A map of Nigeria with Ondo State highlighted reinforces the pride of place the state holds in the nation’s development.

Ondo State, known for its industrious people and motto “Ise Loogun Ise” (Work is the medicine for poverty), has made strides in education, agriculture, and governance over the years. The Golden Jubilee serves as a moment of reflection on its journey and a call to action for greater achievements in the years ahead.

As the celebrations continue, citizens and leaders alike are united in their hope that the next 50 years will bring even more progress, prosperity, and peace to the Sunshine State.
