I Have Clear Plans to Develop Owo and Ose Federal Constituency if Given the Mandate – Engr. Charles Adewumi
Engr. Charles Adewumi has declared his readiness to bring purposeful, people-oriented representation to Owo and Ose Federal Constituency, unveiling what he described as distinct and practical plans aimed at accelerating development across the constituency if entrusted with the mandate.
Speaking with Our Heritage Reporter online via telephone conversation, the engineer turned public servant emphasized that Owo and Ose possess enormous human and natural resources that have remained largely underutilized due to years of ineffective representation and poor strategic planning.
According to Engr. Adewumi, his aspiration is driven by a deep understanding of the constituency’s challenges and a strong desire to offer solutions anchored on competence, transparency, and grassroots engagement.
He outlined key focus areas of his development agenda to include infrastructure renewal, youth empowerment, job creation, quality education, and accessible healthcare.
He stressed that as a professional engineer, he brings technical expertise and problem solving skills that would be deployed to attract meaningful federal projects to the constituency.
On infrastructure, Adewumi pledged to prioritize the rehabilitation and construction of critical roads linking rural communities to economic hubs, noting that improved road networks would boost agriculture, trade, and ease of movement for residents.
He also promised to champion youth centered initiatives, including vocational training, skills acquisition programs, and support for small and medium scale enterprises, aimed at reducing unemployment and discouraging social vices among young people.
In the area of education, the aspirant said he would work towards improved funding for public schools, facilitate scholarships and bursaries for indigent students, and advocate policies that enhance learning outcomes within the constituency.
Healthcare delivery, according to him, would not be neglected, as he plans to push for better equipped primary healthcare centers and increased access to federal health interventions, especially in underserved communities.
Engr. Adewumi further assured constituents that his style of representation would be inclusive and accountable, maintaining constant consultation with traditional rulers, community leaders, women groups, youths, and professionals to ensure that the true needs of the people are reflected in legislative priorities.
“I am not seeking office for personal gain. My ambition is rooted in service, development, and the sincere desire to improve the quality of life of our people. With your support, Owo and Ose Federal Constituency can experience the development it truly deserves,” he stated.
