Abuja: Fire guts Transcorp Hilton Congress Hall
On Thursday panic broke out following a fire at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja’s Congress Hall.
As a precaution, occupants were evacuated immediately following the blaze, which reportedly began within the hall.
Witnesses reported that guests and staff were hurriedly evacuated from the venue to avoid casualties as emergency response efforts began. Officials from the fire service arrived shortly after the incident and moved quickly to contain it.
The cause of the fire was unknown at the time of the report. Authorities also stated that the extent of the damage could not be determined immediately.
So far, no casualties have been confirmed, and further information is awaited.
