God used the mouth of Okadigbo to prophecy that Tinubu will become the future president–Olusi

According to a report by Daily Post on Thursday, April 9, 2026, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, the Chairman of the Governor’s Advisory Council in Lagos State, has recounted an event from Nigeria’s political history involving the late former Senate President, Chuba Okadigbo, and the eventual rise of Bola Tinubu to the presidency.

Olusi shared this account while highlighting the significant milestones in Tinubu’s political journey, emphasizing how certain decisions and moments in the past shaped his path to leadership.

According to Olusi, the prophecy regarding Tinubu’s future as Nigeria’s President dates back to 1992.

At that time, Tinubu was in the race for the position of Senate President but chose to step aside in favor of Iyorchia Ayu.

This act of stepping down, Olusi explained, was influenced by Tinubu’s reputation for integrity and character, which earned him the respect of his peers, including Okadigbo.

Olusi revealed that this episode in 1992 was a turning point that set the stage for Tinubu’s long political journey.

He pointed out that the decision to step aside was more than a political maneuver; it was a moment that revealed Tinubu’s leadership qualities and foresight, attributes that would later define his career.

This act, Olusi indicated, became the basis for Okadigbo’s prophecy about Tinubu’s future role as President.

The Lagos State official shared these insights during a public event in the state, marking the inauguration of significant infrastructural projects.

The occasion, which included the opening of the Ojota-Opebi link bridge, the E-GIS facility, and the Alausa complex, provided a backdrop for Olusi to reflect on the political history of the state and the figures who have shaped it.

Olusi highlighted the beginning of Tinubu’s political career in Ikeja, noting that some had initially suggested he start in Lagos Island.

However, he said, it was Ikeja that ultimately became the launchpad for Tinubu’s public service journey.

The choice of Ikeja, Olusi implied, was part of a larger plan that eventually allowed Tinubu to rise to national prominence.

He described how Tinubu’s initial tenure in Ikeja led to his election as a senator, it was during this time that the opportunity arose to select a Senate President.

Despite being a strong contender, Tinubu opted to step down, allowing Okadigbo to assume the position.

Olusi underscored that this decision was a reflection of Tinubu’s character and integrity, qualities that were widely acknowledged even then.

Speaking about the prophetic moment, Olusi said, “I want to remind some people because they may have forgotten, its this Ikeja that we are that Tinubu started his political journey, then some of us wanted him to start in Lagos Island but God said he should start in Ikeja. From Ikeja he became a senator, they wanted to pick a Senate President then and because of his good character, he left the seat for Okadigbo. And God used the mouth of Okadigbo to prophecy that Bola Tinubu that you are seeing will become the future president of Nigeria.”
