The story, posted by @D_goodybag on X (formerly Twitter), has generated widespread reactions online as she recounted what she described as years of unfair treatment.
According to her, the church allegedly operated on her father’s property for about 15 years without paying any rent. She further claimed that her father also supported the ministry by providing equipment and other resources to help the church function smoothly during that period.
She explained that issues began when her father was being considered for a pastoral role. At that point, she alleged that the church stated his family members were not active participants, and his years of contribution were not taken into account.
As a result, she claimed her father was eventually overlooked for the position, leaving the family feeling unappreciated despite their long-standing support.
The lady also recounted that, in response to the situation, she and her younger brother reportedly removed the church’s belongings from the property late at night.
She further alleged that church leaders often encouraged members to make financial contributions, especially when supporting pastors, while also benefiting from her father’s resources.
Expressing her frustration, she said the experience left her family feeling used and disappointed after years of commitment.
“RCCG stayed in my dad’s property for free, for good 15 years. Time to make him pastor, they realized his family are not members of the church & forgot the free property & equipments. One midnight, my younger brother & I brought out all their things. …It’s their way. When they asked him to go for pastors training He almost gave them the document of that property. Omo I thank God for Jesus.
So na him divine calling to give free church. Church members needs help, let us pray Pastor needs money, let us contribute. They were entitled to his resources…”
