Professor Simidele Odimayo, a leading contender for the Ondo South Senatorial seat, convened a high-level strategic session with key campaign stakeholders on Wednesday. The meeting was designed to evaluate current milestones and intensify grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of the upcoming party primaries.

Addressing leaders drawn from the six local government areas of the district, Prof. Odimayo commended the technical precision and momentum his team has maintained. He emphasized the necessity of sustaining this “velocity” to ensure a decisive outcome in the primary elections.

”I recognize no other leader than His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. My aspirations remain strictly subservient to his direction and the strategic interests of his administration,” Prof. Odimayo stated.

The Director-General of the campaign, Hon. Lawson Omotunde, characterized the meeting as a “meticulous recalibration” of their electoral strategy. He noted that the session provided a platform to refine field operations, ensuring a comprehensive reach across every ward in Ondo South.

The gathering also received notable support from various sector leaders, including Comrade Ademola Odudu (NURTW State Chairman): Praised Prof. Simidele Odimayo’s “principled approach” to politics, citing his willingness to defer to the Governor’s leadership as a sign of political maturity and lack of desperation.
