The visit reflected a strong show of unity, loyalty, and grassroots mobilization, as TSO stakeholders, party faithful, women groups, and supporters gathered in large numbers to welcome the Nation’s Mother to one of Nigeria’s most politically significant states. The atmosphere at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport and along major routes in the metropolis was charged with chants of solidarity, cultural displays, and the vibrant colours of the All Progressives Congress (APC), underscoring Kano’s reputation as the heartbeat of Northern politics.
Among the key mobilizers, Ambassador Hajiya Hauwa Shehu Tahir played a central role in coordinating thousands of women across the Northwest, reinforcing the organization’s strong grassroots structure and commitment to women inclusion in political and developmental engagement. Her leadership ensured that women cooperatives, market associations, and widows’ groups from Kano, and other States were fully represented, turning the reception into a powerful statement on gender mainstreaming under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Junior Jagaban, Hon. Aminu Suleiman’s presence in Kano extended beyond protocol. In line with his longstanding humanitarian tradition, arrangements were made for the distribution of food items and essential household materials to residents and TSO members across the state. This gesture further reinforced his enduring reputation for compassion, service, and sustained palliative outreach, especially among vulnerable communities. Trucks loaded with rice, cooking oil, and sanitary packs were dispatched simultaneously to Kano Local Government Areas, ensuring none was left behind.
