
Gov. Aiyedatiwa Graces NANS Southwest Inauguration, Reaffirms Commitment to Student Development, ably represented by Hon. Kevin Solomon Olaolu (KSO)

The Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, today demonstrated his unwavering commitment to student development and youth inclusion across the Southwest region as he graced the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected executives of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone.
The event, which held at the College of Health Technology, Ilesha, Osun State, brought together student leaders, stakeholders, and representatives from across the six Southwest states—Ondo, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, and Lagos—in a significant gathering aimed at strengthening student leadership and regional collaboration.
Representing the Governor at the occasion was, Hon. Kevin Solomon Olaolu, who delivered the Governor’s goodwill message and reaffirmed the Ondo State Government’s continued support for student bodies and youth-driven initiatives. He emphasized the importance of responsible leadership, unity, and active participation in nation-building, urging the newly inaugurated executives to uphold the ideals of NANS and remain committed to the welfare and progress of students across the region.
The Governor, through his representative, also applauded the leadership of the NANS Ondo JCC for their continued cooperation, maturity, and commitment to fostering peace and constructive engagement within Ondo State. He noted that such collaboration has significantly contributed to sustaining harmony between student bodies and the government, creating an enabling environment for growth and development.
Hon. Kevin Solomon Olaolu was accompanied to the event by members of the NANS Ondo JCC Executives, led by Comr. Adekanye Mayomi, NAUS Executives, led by Comr. Psalmy Abejoye and other student bodies within the state reflect a strong sense of unity and collective representation of Ondo students at the regional gathering.
Furthermore, the Governor commended the peaceful conduct of the electoral process that produced the new leadership and charged the executives to see their emergence as a call to service, responsibility, and selfless leadership. He reiterated that Ondo State remains a strong advocate of youth empowerment, education advancement, and policies that promote inclusive governance.
The inauguration marks a new chapter for NANS Southwest as expectations remain high for impactful leadership that will address the concerns of students while fostering unity and development across the region.
Ondo State Government once again congratulates the newly elected executives and assures them of its continued partnership in building a vibrant and progressive student community.
