Workers’ Day: Hon. Oluwole Ogumolasuyi Salutes Nigerian Workers, Calls Them the Engine Room of the Nation

As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to commemorate Workers’ Day, a member of the Ondo State House of Assembly representing Owo Constituency I, has paid glowing tribute to workers across the country, describing them as the “engine room” of national development.

In a statement released to Newsmen to mark the occasion, Ogumolasuyi acknowledged the invaluable contributions of Nigerian workers to the growth and sustainability of the nation’s economy. He emphasized that the resilience, dedication, and commitment of workers remain the backbone of progress in all sectors.

According to the lawmaker, Workers’ Day is not only a time for celebration but also an opportunity to reflect on the challenges faced by workers and the urgent need to improve their welfare.

He noted that despite economic difficulties, Nigerian workers continue to demonstrate unwavering patriotism and diligence in the discharge of their duties.

Ogumolasuyi called on government at all levels to prioritize policies that enhance workers’ welfare, ensure timely payment of salaries, and create an enabling environment for productivity and job satisfaction.

He stressed that a motivated workforce is essential for sustainable development and national stability.
He further urged workers to remain steadfast and committed to excellence, while also advocating for constructive engagement with authorities to address labor-related issues.

The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that will uplift workers within his constituency and beyond, promising to continue championing legislation that promotes fairness, equity, and improved working conditions.
