Hon. Ajibola Famurewa Picks Nomination and Expression of Interest Form for Ife Ijesa Senatorial District

Hon. Ajibola Famurewa has formally picked up his Nomination and Expression of Interest forms to contest the senatorial seat for Ife Ijesa Senatorial District in the upcoming national elections. The move officially launches his campaign and marks a decisive step toward representing the people of Ife Ijesa at the National Assembly.

An experienced public servant with deep ties to the community, Hon. Famurewa described the filing as a response to calls from constituents for principled leadership, focused development, and effective representation. “I step forward not for personal ambition but to answer the call of our people,” he said. “Our district deserves growth that is inclusive, accountable leadership, and a voice in Abuja that prioritizes education, infrastructure, job creation, and security. I pledge to work with all stakeholders to deliver tangible outcomes for Ife Ijesa.”

Hon. Famurewa’s decision comes amid rising public interest in fresh leadership that can translate local needs into measurable policy wins. Supporters and party members who joined him at the party secretariat highlighted his track record in community initiatives and public service as key reasons for rallying behind his candidacy. His campaign platform emphasizes rebuilding local infrastructure, improving healthcare and education access, supporting small and medium enterprises, and strengthening agricultural value chains to boost rural incomes.

The filing process marks the start of an organized campaign strategy that will include grassroots engagement, town hall meetings, and policy forums. Hon. Famurewa plans to engage traditional leaders, youth groups, women’s associations, and civil society to build a broad coalition around shared priorities. He also committed to a transparent campaign, inviting scrutiny of his plans and encouraging constructive dialogue across party lines to achieve results for the district.

Political analysts note that early formalization of candidacy gives Hon. Famurewa an advantage in mobilizing resources and consolidating support ahead of the primaries. The Ife Ijesa electorate, made up of diverse communities, faces pressing challenges such as youth unemployment, deteriorating road networks, and limited healthcare facilities. Famurewa’s team says their proposals are grounded in local consultations and evidence-based approaches to governance.

Above all Ijesa south Federal constituency had never had the opportunity of taking the senatorial slot unlike ijesa north and ife federal constituency.

Let’s support the winning candidate
