Chief Alexander Oluremi Ajipe Condemns Intimidation of Supporters in Akoko North Federal Constituency by Associates of Senator Jide Ipinsagba, Affirms Pursuit of Judicial Redress for Fair Primaries
Chief Alexander Oluremi Ajipe, APC Senatorial Aspirant for Ondo North, condemns in the strongest terms the reported intimidation and harassment of his supporters in Akoko North Federal Constituency by individuals linked to Senator Jide Ipinsagba.
The APC’s primary process must proceed through democratic ballots, not threats or violence. Chief Ajipe calls on security agencies to investigate these incidents promptly and protect citizens exercising their rights. Perpetrators will be held fully accountable under the law.
Addressing misinformation that courts cannot intervene in party primaries: Nigerian courts have clear jurisdiction to enforce compliance with a political party’s constitution and guidelines. Violations of due process are matters of public law, not internal affairs. The judiciary upholds fairness and the rule of law to strengthen our democracy.
Chief Ajipe remains committed to transparent, peaceful primaries in Ondo North. He urges all aspirants and supporters to prioritize unity and decorum.
Ondo North deserves leadership that fosters progress, not fear.
