JUST IN: Chief Imam of Ansarudeen Mosque, Iwaro Oka, Receives Ileya Festival Rams from Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo
As part of activities marking the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has continued the distribution of food items and rams to Muslim faithful across Ondo State.
The distribution exercise, coordinated by Hon. Ekunnusi Musibau, covered several communities and Islamic leaders across the state, with hundreds of beneficiaries receiving bags of rice, cows, and over 500 rams to support the Ileya celebration.
The initiative was aimed at easing the burden on Muslim families during the festive period while promoting the values of love, sacrifice, unity, and compassion associated with Eid-el-Kabi
Among the beneficiaries was the Chief Imam of Ansarudeen Mosque, Iwaro Oka, who received the Ileya festival rams on behalf of the Muslim community.
Speaking during the presentation, the Islamic cleric expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo for the generous gesture, describing the minister as a compassionate, humble, and people-oriented leader who has consistently demonstrated commitment to the welfare of the people of Ondo State.
He noted that the donation would go a long way in supporting Muslim faithful during the celebration and prayed for Allah’s guidance, protection, wisdom, and continued success for the minister in all his endeavours.
Other beneficiaries and community leaders also commended Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo for his continuous support and dedication to the well-being of the people, especially during festive periods.
