The leadership of the Northern Youth Influencers, under the resolute direction of Hon. Zach C. Hyellamada, stands in absolute, unreserved condemnation of the recent, barbaric abduction of innocent school children and teachers in Oyo State.

This tragic spillover of mass school kidnappings from the North into the Southwest is a definitive indicator that Nigeria’s security framework has entirely fractured. However, the most damning failure lies directly within our dormant digital defense infrastructure.

Consequently, after an emergency cross-sectoral assembly, this Coalition-which proudly unifies all Northern artisans, tech and corporate professionals, student union leaders, market associations, transport workers, and agricultural cooperatives-hereby issues a declaration of total lack of confidence in the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani.

Speaking on behalf of the joint assembly, Hon. Zach C. Hyellamada stated:

“Nigerians have endured the administrative tyranny of mandatory biometric registrations, SIM-NIN linkings, and endless data collection routines, all justified under the umbrella of national security.

Yet, today, terrorists effortlessly utilize active mobile networks inside known forest hideouts to negotiate multi-million Naira ransoms.

Dr. Bosun Tijani has weaponized digital compliance against law-abiding citizens while leaving the ministry completely toothless against bandits.

His obsession with superficial tech tourism, foreign summits, and elite PR pageantry over the hard, life-saving reality of network forensics is an insult to every grieving parent in this country.”
