PBAT’s Achievements Need Stronger Voices, Not Silence
As Nigeria continues on the path of reforms and national development under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT), it has become increasingly evident that many of the administration’s most vocal defenders are ordinary citizens who hold no political office and receive no financial reward for their support.
Across social media platforms and public forums, dedicated supporters tirelessly promote and defend the policies, achievements, and vision of the Tinubu administration. These individuals, driven by conviction and belief in the President’s agenda, continue to engage critics and highlight government successes despite having no direct benefit from their efforts.
Ironically, many individuals who have been appointed into various positions by the administration remain largely silent. At a time when government achievements need to be amplified and communicated effectively to the public, some beneficiaries of the administration appear unwilling to defend or promote the policies and programmes that have earned them their appointments.
Public office holders and political appointees have a responsibility not only to execute their duties but also to communicate government achievements to the people. Their silence creates a vacuum that is often filled by misinformation, speculation, and opposition narratives.
President Tinubu’s administration has recorded notable achievements in economic reforms, infrastructure development, social investment programmes, and efforts to strengthen national security. While these achievements speak for themselves, they require active voices to ensure Nigerians are fully informed about the progress being made.
Those entrusted with leadership positions under this administration should demonstrate loyalty, commitment, and readiness to defend the government’s policies. If they are unwilling to support and promote the administration that appointed them, then questions must be asked about their continued relevance in office.
The success of any government depends not only on performance but also on effective communication. President Tinubu’s achievements deserve to be heard, understood, and appreciated by Nigerians. It is therefore imperative that all appointees rise to the occasion and actively support the administration’s efforts or make way for those who are willing to do so.
