INEC Declares PDP Candidate as winner of By-election
INEC declares Olaka Nwogu of the PDP as the winner of Rivers South-East senatorial by-election in Rivers State after polling 47,961 votes.
Total votes:
PDP – 47,961 votes
APC – 1,647 votes
AA – 1,175 votes
LP – 367 votes
All four parties that participated in the by-election are part of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s rainbow coalition, with the group deciding on Senator Olaka as its preferred choice for the election.
