Read MoreThe Honorable Minister of Women Affairs, led the Nigerian delegation to the opening session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women in New York.. One of the key points of presentation by the Secretary General Antonio Guterres was that women’s unpaid domestic care serves as a subsidy to the entire world. This year’s CSW which is the UN’s largest annual gathering on gender equality and women’s empowerment will run from 11 -22 March 2024 under the priority theme, Accelerating the achievement of gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with gender perspective”. During the conference, Nigeria will also participate in several high level meetings structured to further the cause of women across the globe. The Minister is personally delighted with the focus of this year’s CSW as it provides yet another opportunity for collective push for gender equality, inclusiveness and coordinated investment and sustainable empowerment of women @theasovilla @welovehustlersquare @uk.explores
