MULTIPLE DEGREES ARE NOT A SOLUTION TO GOVERNANCE
To ensure good governance, it is important to recognize both Western education systems and native intelligence as valuable methods. While Western education is beneficial, native intelligence also plays a crucial role in enhancing quality of life and governance.
Instead of flaunting numerous degrees to impress people who may not understand governance, it is crucial to emphasize native intelligence and good character traits, particularly reverence for God, as essential tools for effective governance.
Simply possessing multiple degrees does not guarantee competence in governing a state. Many individuals with multiple degrees lack practical knowledge of governance. In my view, accountability, transparency, equity, inclusiveness, and, importantly, a sense of reverence for God in fulfilling duties are the key elements of good governance, rather than the number of degrees one holds.
People who are honest, fair, caring, and focused on helping others are important for good governance. They set an example and make institutions trustworthy. Their actions support fairness and openness.
But having good governance is an ongoing job. It needs everyone to work together to keep things fair and accountable. Everybody is still in the learning process. What really matters is innate or native intelligence, which is often more valuable than having multiple degrees.
Without natural intelligence, even the best education can sometimes feel inadequate. It is essential to have a deep understanding of our cultural norms and values. It helps in all aspects of good governance and sustainability in life.
