AU Lifts Sanctions on Gabon After Successful Political Transition
The African Union has lifted sanctions on Gabon following a review of its political transition, declaring the process successful.
Gabon was suspended in August 2023 after a coup led by Brice Oligui Nguema, who was recently elected president with over 94% of the vote.
