Aminu Suleiman, Member of the Governing Board of Northwest Development Commission (NWDC), is actively participating in high-level three-day retreat convened by the Federal Ministry of Regional Development in collaboration with Regional Development Commissions across the country.

Holding at the prestigious Uwaifo Hall in Benin City, Edo State, the retreat brings together key policymakers, commission leaders, and development experts to deepen collaboration, refine strategic frameworks, and chart a more coordinated path toward sustainable and inclusive development nationwide. The retreat is spearheaded under the leadership of the Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, FNSE, reflecting the Federal Government’s strong commitment to strengthening institutional synergy among Regional Development Commissions, enhancing accountability, and accelerating impactful development across all geopolitical zones. Core technical sessions focus on harmonizing project pipelines, aligning KPIs across Commissions, and embedding citizen feedback mechanisms into regional master plans.

Honourable Aminu Suleiman was joined at the retreat by the Chairman of the Governing Board of NWDC, Honourable Lawal Sama’ila Abdullahi Yakawada, and the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Professor Abdullahi Shehu Ma’aji, with other distinguished members of Regional Development Commissions in attendance.
