Hon. Oluwole Ogumolasuyi Mourns Late Chief Famakinwa, Says He Was a Custodian of Owo Heritage
The Lawmaker representing Owo Constituency I in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Oluwole Ogumolasuyi, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Famakinwa Olanrewaju, the revered Ojumu of Owo Kingdom.
In a statement released on Thursday, Hon. Ogumolasuyi described the late Chief Famakinwa as a distinguished statesman, a custodian of culture, and a pillar of wisdom within the Olowo in Council.
He noted that the late Chief played a significant role in preserving the rich traditions and heritage of Owo Kingdom, while also contributing meaningfully to its unity and development.
Chief Famakinwa’s demise is a monumental loss to Owo Kingdom. His wise counsel, dedication to service, and unwavering commitment to our cultural values will be greatly missed,” the lawmaker stated.
Hon. Ogumolasuyi extended his heartfelt condolences to His Imperial Majesty, the Olowo of Owo and Chairman, Council of Obas in Ondo State, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, the Ojumu family, and the entire people of Owo Kingdom.
He urged the people of Owo to take solace in the impactful life and enduring legacy of the late Ojumu, adding that his contributions will continue to inspire generations to come.
The lawmaker prayed for divine strength and comfort for the royal family and all those affected by the loss, and for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed.
