
Akoko South East LG, Ward Excos and Leaders Endorse Elewuetu, Rally Support Ahead of Primaries

Akoko South East LG Excos and Ward Excos have declared their full support for Otunba Gbenga Elewuetu during his consultative tour across the eleven wards of the local government area.
The endorsement came as party executives at both the local government and ward levels expressed confidence in Elewuetu’s leadership capacity, grassroots connection, and commitment to the development of Akoko South East.
The tour, which covered all eleven wards, provided an opportunity for direct engagement with party faithful, stakeholders, and community leaders.
Speaking on behalf of the executives, the local government party Chairman Hon Akeem Oripelaye, commended Otunba Elewuetu for his consistency, accessibility, and dedication to the progress of the constituency. He noted that his widespread acceptance across the wards is a clear indication of his strength ahead of the forthcoming party primaries.
Notably, the Local Government Party Chairman, Hon. Akeem Oripelaye, Hon. Katola Kayode, alongside Hon. Akin Aibinuomo, Otunba Sola Agbi, Hon. Faithy who erected a billboard that was equally presented for him and several other prominent leaders, also threw their weight behind the leading aspirant, Otunba Gbenga Elewuetu. They called on party members to remain united and mobilize massively in his support, especially in the event of a direct primary election.
The leaders further assured that if a consensus arrangement is adopted, they would firmly stand behind Elewuetu and actively champion his emergence. They emphasized that it is the turn of Akoko South East to represent the constituency, stressing the need for fairness, equity, and political balance.
In his remarks, Otunba Elewuetu appreciated the executives and leaders for their overwhelming support and reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive representation, effective service delivery, and the overall advancement of the constituency if given the mandate.
The tour was marked by enthusiastic receptions, as party members and supporters reiterated their readiness to work collectively towards securing victory at the primaries and beyond.
