Adeola Taoheed Musa Meets Persons with Disabilities in Owo, Promises Inclusive Representation

House of Assembly aspirant for Owo Constituency 2, Hon. Adeola Taoheed Musa (ATM), has reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance following a meeting with Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Owo Local Government.

During the engagement, ATM addressed attendees warmly, referring to them as “my special friends,” while emphasizing dignity, inclusion, and equal participation in governance.

He stressed that Persons with Disabilities are an integral part of society and should be actively included in governance and development efforts at all times.

He outlined key commitments aimed at improving the welfare and inclusion of Persons with Disabilities across the constituency. He pledged to ensure full implementation of the Ondo State Disability Rights Law at the grassroots level, particularly by making public buildings such as schools, hospitals, and toilets accessible through the provision of ramps and other necessary facilities.

He also promised that at least 10 percent of all empowerment programs and constituency projects under his leadership would be reserved for Persons with Disabilities, ensuring they benefit directly from government initiatives.

In addition, Adeola Taoheed Musa announced plans to promote economic independence among PWDs through skills acquisition programs and startup support.

He intends to collaborate with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and the Ondo State Micro-Credit Agency to provide training and financial assistance to beneficiaries in Ipele, Ijebu, Iyere, Isaipen, and Uso-Emure-Ile.

The House of Assembly Hopeful expressed gratitude for the warm reception received from the PWD community, particularly acknowledging their leadership, including Hon. Sheriff, as well as the efforts of the current local government administration in Owo.

As part of his strategy for sustained engagement, he announced the appointment of a PWD Desk Officer who will ensure continuous interaction with the community beyond the election period.

Following the meeting, ATM extended his outreach to Ipele Ward and Isaipen Ward 8, where he met with ward executives and residents to seek their support.

He reiterated his commitment to providing effective and inclusive representation for the people of Owo Constituency 2.
