Here are key takeaways from the meeting with distinguished Senator George Akume, SGF, Senator Udende, Senator Zam, and members of the House of Representatives, including Austin Agada, Akume Elders Group, in preparation for a peace meeting with Governor Alia on 3/5/2026. In the meeting, both parties agreed and insisted on a 40-60 sharing formula as subjected by President Tinubu. Senator Akume is to share Zone A and B with the governor. The zone A sharing nomination formula is as follows: 1. One Senator from Zone A, House of Representatives Logo, Ukum, Katsina Ala federal constituency, and all House of Assembly members from the Sankera axis, to be allocated to SGF Akume. 2. House of Representatives Vandeikyaa, Konshisha (Jechira) Federal constituency, and all House of Assembly members, to be allocated to Governor Alia. 3. Kwande House of Representatives, Kwande, Ushongu, and all House of Assembly members, to be allocated to Governor Alia. Gboko Tarkaa House of Representatives and two House of Assembly members, one from Gboko and one from Tarkaa, to be allocated to SGF Akume. One House of Assembly member from Gboko to be allocated to Governor Alia. 4. Buruku House of Representatives and House of Assembly to be allocated to SGF Akume. 5. Guma, Makurdi House of Representatives, and one House of Assembly member to be allocated to SGF Akume. One House of Assembly member to be allocated to Governor Alia. 6. Gwer East, Gwer West House of Representatives, and all House of Assembly members to be allocated to SGF Akume. Zone C is still under negotiation.
