NAF strikes terrorists, destroys Abasu Aiki hideout in Katsina

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out a precision air strike against terrorist elements in Katsina State, destroying a major hideout linked to notorious kingpin Abasu Aiki.
The operation targeted a terrorist enclave in the Dan-Aji Forest within Faskari Local Government Area following credible intelligence on renewed insurgent activity.
According to intelligence reports, the site functioned as a logistics hub and transit base for fighters loyal to Abasu Aiki, who have been associated with repeated attacks across Faskari, Kankara, and Funtua areas of the state.
Acting swiftly, NAF air assets identified armed terrorists on motorcycles and launched a coordinated strike on both the fighters and their support structures.
Battle Damage Assessment confirmed that several terrorists were neutralised, while the logistics hub and surrounding facilities were destroyed.
The strike also triggered secondary explosions and widespread fires within the enclave.
The operation is expected to significantly disrupt terrorist movement and resupply routes in the region, reinforcing the Nigerian Air Force’s ongoing efforts to eliminate safe havens and restore security in the North-West.
