GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA OFFICIALLY INAUGURATES RENEWED HOPE AMBASSADORS AS ONDO STATE LEADERS UNITE FOR STRUCTURED GRASSROOTS MOBILISATION TOWARD PRESIDENT TINUBU’S 2027 MANDATE

The political landscape of Ondo State was infused with renewed vigor today as Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa officially inaugurated the Ondo State Chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at The Arcade, Igbatoro Road, Akure. The ceremony embodied the collective resolve of party leaders, government officials, and grassroots mobilisers to advance the Renewed Hope Agenda and secure a decisive victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. The event also marked the official installation of Local Government Coordinators across the state’s 18 local government areas, a strategic step in strengthening the organisational framework of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the community level.

Protocols were observed as Governor Aiyedatiwa and his Deputy, His Excellency Dr. Owolabi Adelami, took their seats alongside the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, members of the State Working Committee, South West Coordinators, eminent personalities, leaders of thought, and the newly inaugurated Local Government Coordinators from across the 18 LGAs.

In his welcome address, State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, described the gathering as an epoch-making moment anchored on the theme _One Message, One Party, One Mobilisation_. He stated that Ondo State’s commitment to Renewed Hope reflects a shared conviction that purposeful leadership is essential to securing Nigeria’s future. “This mobilisation is not for ceremony, but for conviction. It is about aligning Ondo State with the bold reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and building a grassroots structure that can deliver a record-breaking mandate in 2027,” he said.

Olabimtan recalled that the national body of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors was launched a few months ago, with himself appointed as State Coordinator while Governor Aiyedatiwa serves as Chairman for Ondo State. He expressed profound gratitude to the Governor for his nomination and for his unwavering commitment to the cause. “Under his leadership, we will not only deliver Ondo State to PBAT again, but we will do so with a margin that sets a new standard for political mobilisation in Nigeria,” he declared.

He paid tribute to President Tinubu’s vision and reformist courage, noting that the administration had taken decisive steps that past governments avoided for decades. “Governance is no child’s play. While previous administrations reacted to crises, this government has adopted a proactive, strategic approach to economic recovery, infrastructure renewal, and social inclusion,” he observed. He acknowledged the challenges inherited at the outset, including a deficit-laden economy and strained public finances, but stressed that the trajectory had fundamentally changed. “Today, though we are not yet where we want to be, we are far from where we were,” he remarked, citing over 400 ongoing road projects nationwide including the Lagos-Calabar Superhighway passing through Ondo State, renewed investor confidence, diversification into solid minerals, a student loan scheme that has enrolled over a million beneficiaries, improved passport processing, and the end of persistent fuel queues.

“The Renewed Hope Agenda is already yielding tangible results that every objective observer can see,” he affirmed. “The greatest disservice we can do is to allow detractors to define our narrative. The Renewed Hope Ambassadors exist to bridge the communication gap between government and the people, to translate policy into relatable language, and to counter misinformation with facts.”

Quoting President Tinubu, he described the Ambassadors as “a civic engagement and enlightenment architecture — a bridge between policy formulation and public understanding.” He outlined the three-pillar mobilisation framework: the RHA structure across zonal, state, LGA, ward and polling unit levels; the government’s information machinery led by Commissioners for Information; and the APC party structure at all levels. “This is synergy, not competition. The Ambassadors are amplifiers of government policy, custodians of factual communication, and guardians of party unity,” he emphasised.

Olabimtan announced that today’s ceremony marks the official flag-off of RHA activities and the inauguration of LGA coordinators, while 25-member unit and 400-member ward canvassers will be inaugurated shortly to extend the movement’s reach across the state. He stressed that the initiative will serve as a functional interface for two-way communication, ensuring citizens understand the benefits of federal reforms while providing structured feedback to government. “We must ensure that both the young and the elderly know that the foundation for a better future is being laid by the Tinubu-led administration. We cannot afford to regress,” he said.

He pledged that the Ambassadors would lead sustained public enlightenment through town-hall meetings, roadshows, market visits, faith-based engagements, and neighbourhood dialogues, ensuring that every citizen in Ondo State understands and benefits from the opportunities within the Renewed Hope Agenda. “This is a clarion call to all members and stakeholders of the APC in Ondo State. The RHA is our shared project, and all hands must be on deck to achieve resounding success in 2027. Our focus remains singular: one message, one party, one mobilisation,” he concluded.

Speaking on behalf of the South West Coordinators, the Zonal Coordinator reinforced the call for unified action, describing Ondo State’s inauguration as a blueprint for the region. “The South West has always been the cradle of progressive politics, and today Ondo State has shown what it means to rally behind Renewed Hope with structure and discipline,” he said. “If we are to deliver overwhelming support for President Tinubu in 2027, we must speak with one voice, act with one purpose, and mobilise with one direction. Ondo has set that standard, and the rest of the South West must follow.”

Governor Aiyedatiwa, in his remarks after officially inaugurating the chapter, lauded the initiative as a timely intervention that aligns with the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable development. “Ondo State is standing firmly behind Renewed Hope because we see in President Tinubu a leader who is laying the foundation for a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria,” he said. “This platform will deepen democratic engagement, ensure that government policies reach the grassroots, and guarantee that the dividends of democracy are felt in every community. Ondo State is ready, and we will deliver.”

The State Chairman of the APC, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, described the inauguration as a defining moment for the party in Ondo State and a direct reflection of the need for unity and purpose in mobilisation. “Unity of message, unity of party, and unity of mobilisation are the pillars of electoral success,” he stated. “The Renewed Hope Ambassadors provide the structure to harmonise our efforts, strengthen party cohesion, and ensure that every APC member, from the polling unit to the state level, is speaking the same language of progress and development. This is how we secure 2027.”

The official inauguration by Governor Aiyedatiwa became a living demonstration of the caption, as party leaders and grassroots coordinators pledged renewed allegiance to the Renewed Hope vision and committed to a disciplined, coordinated mobilisation architecture across Ondo State. Marked by cultural displays, fellowship, and a shared resolve, the ceremony underscored that Ondo State is not only aligned with the national trajectory of reform but is prepared to lead it at the grassroots, setting a standard for structured political engagement ahead of the 2027 electoral mandate.
