The Inspector-General of Police Tunji Disu has directed the immediate release of 216 officers of the Nigeria Police Force for a compulsory screening and training programme scheduled to hold at the Peacekeeping International Training Centre, Abuja, on May 14, 2026.
The directive was contained in an internal police wireless message dated May 5, 2026, and referenced CE:2250/IGP-SEC/ABJ/VOL.70/71, obtained by SaharaReporters.
According to the signal, the training exercise is for “Batch C” participants and forms part of an ongoing police capacity-building and operational preparedness programme coordinated from the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
