Ipinsagba Lacks Grassroots Support, Ajipe Declares
The Chief Alexander Oluremi Ajipe Campaign Organisation views the recent statement by the Jide Ipinsagba Campaign Organisation (JICO) as an unfortunate mischaracterisation of legitimate concerns regarding the safety of our supporters ahead of the APC senatorial primary in Ondo North Senatorial District.
We maintain that violence has no place in electoral contests, particularly for aspirants who enjoy genuine popularity and a proven record of performance. Senator Ipinsagba lacks the will to win Ondo North Senatorial District and has lost credibility at home, with limited visibility and minimal tangible impact felt by constituents over the past two and a half years.
In light of reports of intimidation against our supporters in Ondo North Senatorial District, we will not hesitate to pursue all available legal and institutional remedies to protect their rights and ensure a fair process. Any attempt to employ coercive tactics in pursuit of political goals will neither succeed nor be tolerated; we stand resolute in opposing such approaches.
Our engagement with security agencies is a responsible call for investigation to prevent escalation and uphold APC guidelines. Chief Ajipe remains dedicated to issue-based discourse, stakeholder consultation, and building broad support through accessibility and verifiable achievements.
We call on all APC members and the people of Ondo North to embrace peaceful, transparent primaries that reflect the true voice of the majority.
