Chief Alexander Oluremi Ajipe, an All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Aspirant, has dismissed rumors of a consensus candidates in Ondo State, insisting that no such arrangement can materialize without the written and signed consent of all aspirants who duly purchased forms and participated in screening.
Appearing as a guest on TVC Morning Breakfast, Chief Ajipe reaffirmed the unity of the party in Ondo State, declaring that the APC remains one and that the Governor continues to serve as the undisputed leader of the party in the state.
He addressed questions on alleged internal disagreements, insisting that there is no rift between the Hon. Minister of Interior and the Governor. The party, he emphasized, remains stable, organized, and guided by internal structures that respect due process.
Chief Ajipe noted that he spoke with the Governor two days ago about his form submission and screening, and no discussion or whatsoever to step down for any aspirant was brought up. The Governor remains fully aware of his steps, making the rumored endorsement mere speculation to him and other members.
He also advocated for the Owo/Ose axis to produce the next Senator, citing two substantial ministers from the Akoko axis and Owo/Ose’s contribution of over 50 percent of senatorial district votes, urging fairness and equity.
The aspirant reaffirmed APC’s commitment to the rule of law, praising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s transparent emergence as proof of the party’s democratic strength. He called on members to stay united and focused.
